| one more night at ucla and i'm going home!!!!  for those that don't know, i'm down at ucla at the cta summer institute. i've been here for 5 days already, and tomorrow i'm going home! it's been a great experience.... learned some stuff that i can take away and use.... so it's all good!
but i miss my hon so much!!!!!!! so if you're reading this hon hon..... I MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!  i'm coming home!

| i'm finally done with the 2006-2007 school year!!!!!!!!!  can't believe the year went by so fast! all the kids were commenting on how quick the year went by, and how it only seemed like yesterday we started school! but i'm glad to be out! it's been a tiring year, and i'm ready for some recuperation!
next year i'll be returning to a different teaching post! i'm so excited! first off, i'll be reducing my contract to 80% so i'll get to go to work a little later than usual. but more importantly, the position is will be where i work with the upper grade teachers and take 1/2 their class for small group instruction. so instead of having my own class, i'll be working with all the 4th and 5th graders, and they'll be coming in and out of my room like middle school. one of the main things that this teacher does is to teach technology.... so i'm psyched! last of all.... no more report cards and parent teacher conferences!!!!!!!!!!! i'll still need to grade papers and all.... but it does take a load off!!!
the only thing i'm not looking forward to is moving classrooms!!!! such a bummer.... so i gotta go back and clean up my old room, clean up the new room, and move everything over.... i guess i have the whole summer to do that!!!!! so excited!!!!!!!!!!

started coughing on monday, and i didn't think it was a big deal.... plus, it was a staff learning day, so it wasn't like i was stressed out or anything.... by monday night / tuesday morning, it had become full-fledged flu symptoms. every morning i've been waking up..... feeling horrible.... then calling in for a sub.... and then emailing my coworker the lesson plans for the sub.... and this has gone on for the whole week..... i'm so tired of being sick..... i can't believe i haven't been at school for the whole week.... i hope my kids are surviving the subs...... i heard from some parents that yesterday's sub wasn't that great..... 
i feel bad for my kids.... a different teacher every day for 4 days....
which supposedly means that spring will come early! yeah! which means the cold will be going.... then again, with spring comes allergy season....... *sigh*
we like to try something new every now and then!
